ICON make Ram type Actuated flush bottom valves, also known as Pistion type flush bottom valves and also called Sampling valve, are used for discharging, flushing, or sampling of the flowing media. We use Pneumatic cylinders for linear actuation of Ram type flush bottom valves. Cylinder-type Actuators are preferred as higher stroke length is required for these valves. With the use of Actuators, the working of the ICON Piston type flush bottom valves is automated thus allowing the Liquid, Slurry Or Polymer to be drained off remotely and with minimum labor from a tank, reactor, or vessel. . ICON offers Pneumatic actuators with Single acting (fail-safe) design and Double acting (stay-put) design of reputed brands. These types of valves are used for 100% free flow of medium from the tank. The most prominent use of these valves is in Polymer manufacturing, where a smooth and free flow is required.
In comparison to disc type valve where disc & stem act as a hurdle in the path of flowing medium. These valves can be soft seated as well as metal to metal hard seated. The seating selection differs from valve to valve depending upon the size of the nozzle, process parameters & specific customer requirements.
